“Flushy” joins Full Tilt

Leading British pro James Dempsey, known widely as “Flushy” has been signed up by Full Tilt poker as one of their sponsored “red pro” players.

It comes off the back of an excellent World Series, where Dempsey captured a bracelet in the $1500 Pot Limit Hold ‘Em Event, while he also finished runner up to the venerable Sammy Farha in the $10,000 Omaha Hi/Lo event.

Dempsey also has an excellent record as an online tournament player, where he has racked up more than $1mn in internet tournament winnings.

Dempsey said: “I couldn’t be more excited. This is a such a dream of mine. I’ve worked very hard for this over the years and to have won a bracelet and now this – it’s just fantastic.”

He’s a smart man too, Dempsey also has a PHD.

Smart and rich he might be but he also knows value – GamblingNewsBase staff spotted him playing in a £50 rebuy for seats at the UKIPT Edinburgh during the Brighton leg – where there looked to be a rather tasty overlay!

Dempsey joins other British WSOP bracelet winners, Praz Bansi and Richard Ashby, in the Full Tilt stable.
