NFL Betting: Competition hots up before pre-season!

Published on August 15, 2010 by   ·   No Comments

The new NFL season has not even started, but NFL betting is already high on the agenda of the leading US bookmakers, with a fierce battle set to take place over special offers and bonuses.

It’s not surprising that NFL betting is the number one target when NFL pre-season games can attract better TV ratings than regular season baseball match ups.

BetUS.Com is one of the companies trying to focus its marketing on the NFL, offering one of the biggest deposit bonuses there is, with customers who deposit $500 gettingĀ $250 free.

They have also offered punters a match-up tool so they can do their own stats and analysis before making their picks.

At the moment their offer beats that of Sportsbook.Com, who have offered a 10% up to $100 sign up bonus.

The Indianapolis Colts are the early favourites for Super Bowl XLV, at +800.

With around US$90mn bet on the Superbowl alone, the NFL market is something that is an essential part of any American focused Sportsbook.

While the UK betting market is less lucrative, the NFL is entrenched as popular Sunday night viewing, with regular TV coverage on Sky Sports and the continued success of the annual regular season game at Wembley, that can always be sold out twice over, regardless of the two teams involved.

Like their US counterparts, they make the Colts the favourites in NFL betting to win it all.
