Paddy Power saves London Betting Shops

Published on July 27, 2010 by   ·   No Comments

Paddy Power are to re-open five London betting shops that faced closure when Roar Betting was plunged into administration.

It safe-guards the jobs of 21 shop staff that were facing an uncertain future and the company is also going to honouring all previous bets made in the the shops.

The five are located in Hendon, North Finchley, Golders Green and Kingsbury and Mile End. The re-opening will also be marked by Paddy Power handing out free betting vouchers to new customer – while the company is also going to offer some enhanced prices for betting on the day.

Roar Betting was put into administration after some shops recorded losses. Of their other shops, they have been split between Ladbrokes and Roar directors, who hope to run them as an independent concern.
