European bookmaker Unibet has rivalled Stan James with a US Open tennis betting offer.
Unibet will re-fund all outright pre-tournament bets on the men’s singles winner if Rafael Nadal or Roger Federer win the tournament without dropping a set.
Nadal cost Stan James money when rampaging through the field to win the French Open title this summer at Roland Garros, but he has looked less confident on the hard courts.
Federer though, has been very consistent in this summer’s key hard court tournaments, winning Cincinnati and finishing runner up behind Andy Murray at Toronto.
Stan James has already taken the more bullish position of offer re-funds, in the form of free bets, if Andy Murray wins the event at Flushing Meadows. This stance looks pretty dangerous to us if Murray can re-create his Toronto form.
The US Open begins on Monday, and promises to be the most competitive Grand Slam, for the men at least, of the year.
